editorial rating

Tickmill combines FCA, CySEC and FSCA licences with clearly published pricing: a Classic account with spreads from 1.6 pips and no commission, and a Raw account from 0.0 pips with US$3 per lot per side. The catch is the usual one: clients outside the UK, EU and South Africa are onboarded with the Seychelles entity, which has no compensation scheme stated. Education is thinner than at most rivals here.

  • Raw account from 0.0 pips with a published US$3 per lot per side commission.
  • Flat US$100 minimum across account types and Islamic swap-free terms on all accounts.

What to weigh up

  • Global clients sit under a Seychelles entity with no compensation scheme stated.
  • Only 60+ forex pairs, fewer than several rivals here.
  • Education is thin: we could only confirm a glossary.

Which entity are you joining?

Tickmill’s own FAQ says Tickmill is a trading name of Tickmill Ltd, regulated by the Seychelles FSA. Third-party sources say most non-UK, non-EU clients are onboarded with that entity. The Seychelles regulator’s protections are different from the FCA’s or CySEC’s, so ask which entity will hold your account before you deposit.

Costs and pricing

Classic accounts show spreads from 1.6 pips with zero commission. Raw accounts show spreads from 0.0 pips plus US$3 per lot per side, or US$3.50 per side on TradingView Raw. Tickmill’s site says it offers 180+ instruments with spreads as low as 0.0 pips. We did not find a typical EUR/USD spread published on the pages we read, so ‘from’ figures are best-case numbers. Maximum leverage is 1:1000 for the global entity and 1:30 for EU retail clients.

Platforms, tools and education

Tickmill offers MT4, MT5, TradingView (Raw account, USD only) and its own Tickmill Trader web platform and app. All strategies, including scalping, hedging and expert advisors, are allowed. A demo account is available, and swap-free Islamic terms are listed for all accounts.

Deposits and withdrawals

On the EU site Tickmill lists bank transfer, Visa and Mastercard, Skrill, Neteller, PayPal and Trustly, with a US$100 minimum deposit and US$25 minimum withdrawal, and no Tickmill fees (intermediary banks may charge). Methods on the global entity may differ.

Regulatory record

We found no regulator fines against Tickmill in our search.

Who it suits

A good fit: Cost-aware traders who want a published raw-spread and commission model and the option of UK or EU entities.

Look elsewhere if: Traders who want deep learning material, cTrader, or a very large forex pair list.
