editorial rating
FP Markets stands out for transparency on price: its spreads page carries a September 2026 date and shows average EUR/USD spreads of 1.2 pips on Standard and 0.1 pips on Raw, with a published US$3 per side commission on Raw. It also offers one of the broadest platform lists here. The negatives are structural: it reports a EUR 100,000 CySEC settlement from February 2026, and its regulation page lists a Saint Lucia entity with no named regulator, which makes it harder to see which licence covers which client.
At a glance
| Group | FP Markets says it was established in 2005. Its regulation page lists First Prudential Markets entities; the group entity address on its site is in Saint Lucia. |
| Regulation | ASIC (Australia), FSCA (South Africa), Seychelles FSA and CySEC (EU entity). A Saint Lucia entity is listed with a company registration but no regulator. |
| Platforms | MT4, MT5, cTrader, TradingView (Raw account), WebTrader, mobile app, Iress (Australia), copy trading, MAM and PAMM. |
| Minimum deposit | US$100 or equivalent for Standard and Raw (entity not stated). |
| Pricing | Dated September 2026: EUR/USD average 1.2 pips on Standard (no commission) and 0.1 pips on Raw plus US$3 per side (€2.75 or £2.25 in other currencies). |
| Markets | 10,000+ instruments; over 70 currency pairs on its instruments page (other pages say 60+ or 50+). |
| Availability | Not offered to US residents, Iran, Russia and FATF or EU/UN sanctioned jurisdictions, per its regulation page. |
| Client funds | Client funds are kept separate from company capital. We did not find negative balance protection or compensation scheme details on the pages we read. |
| Retail-loss disclosure | Not shown on FP Markets’ global pages we reviewed. Its EU site carries generic regulator wording that 74-89% of retail CFD investors lose money. |

Who it suits
A good fit: Active and cost-focused traders who want raw spreads, published commissions and a broad platform choice, and who are comfortable checking the exact entity they are placed with.
Look elsewhere if: Clients who want a clear, single-regulator structure and explicit negative balance and compensation scheme disclosures.
